It all began back in the 1930s with the establishment of Mizrach Insurance Services, one of the veteran agencies in Israel’s insurance industry. In 2011, a merger with the Oren Agency led to the establishment of the Oren Mizrach agency. The Agency is supported by The Phoenix Insurance Company as a strategic partner, reinforcing operational strength and stability. At Oren Mizrach, we are always looking ahead, driving expansion and continuous growth. Over the past decade, the group has posted exceptional growth metrics, driven by organizational expansion, acquisitions, and mergers.

At Oren Mizrach, our “in-house” agents work from the agency’s offices, in dedicated rooms located alongside the executive management team.

Agents receive their commissions directly from the insurance carriers, under agreements negotiated directly with each company.

All agents at Oren Mizrach are parties to a master framework agreement and a compensation agreement.

Best Price, a system for generating quotes in general insurance (auto, homeowners, and travel insurance) that compares pricing across all insurance carriers and helps identify the right coverage for each customer

Best Price is a new and highly advanced web-based platform that serves as a live simulator for comparing insurance rates, generating quotes across multiple insurance products, and issuing digital policies through the system, primarily for auto and homeowners insurance.

Through the agent’s personal portal, the platform connects with insurance carriers using the agent’s ID, pulls real-time data, and delivers a clear, end-to-end view of the best available rates, required protective measures, deductibles, and full transparency on agent commissions, including the ability to set the final commission level.

The system enables agents to secure the best deal for both the customer and the agent based on a wide range of parameters, while also ranking policy quality, all through a short, efficient, and user-friendly process that concludes with sending a copy of the policy directly to the customer’s and agent’s email.

Oren Cohen, Chairman

Licensed in Israel as a Pension Marketer and General Insurance Agent.
He began his career at Hadar Insurance as a life insurance policy producer.

After completing his insurance studies, he set out on an independent path as an insurance agent..
As an independent agent, he built the agency he founded into a magnet for talent, bringing many agents on board and driving innovative initiatives across the industry—powered by technology, innovation, and creative thinking.

In 2004, he identified the opportunity in the financial services space and quickly became one of the industry’s leading agents in expanding client activity in this area.
In 2009, The Phoenix Group acquired a 50% stake in his agency and "Oren-Israel" was established. In 2011, the agency acquired the veteran Mizrach Insurance Services agency, leading to the formation of Oren Mizrach.

Nir Ovadia, Co-CEO

Holds a B.A. in Economics from Bar-Ilan University and completed graduate-level law studies for economists. Licensed in Israel as an Investment Marketer license (voluntarily suspended), a Pension Insurance Agent, and a General Insurance Agent.
Previously served as a member of senior management and Head of the Private Clients Division at Clal Finance, and earlier led the company’s agent network.
He joined Oren-Israel in 2010 as VP of Marketing & Sales. Following the 2011 acquisition of Mizrach, he continued in the same role at Oren Mizrach
, and in 2014 was appointed Deputy CEO.
Over the years, he has led the execution of key strategic changes across the organization.

Itai Barda, Co-CEO

Holds both a B.A. and M.A. in Economics and Business Administration from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Brings extensive experience across the financial services sector.
Itai previously served as Chairman and owner of the Quality agent home, part of The Phoenix Group.
Earlier in his career, he served as CEO of Halman-Aldubi Provident and Pension Funds Ltd. at the Halman-Aldubi investment house.

Assaf Almakias, Deputy CEO, Manager of Agencies and Partnerships Division

Holds a B.A. in Economics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
With over 25 years of executive leadership in the financial and insurance sector,
he has held a range of senior roles - including CEO and partner at Quality Agencies (Quality Group), and board positions at insurance agencies.
He also served as CEO of Ayalon Trustees (Ayalon Group).

Liron Brill, Deputy CEO, Manager of Agents Division

Holds a B.A. in Economics and Business Administration from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and an MBA from the College of Management.
Licensed in Israel as a Pension Insurance Agent, with over 15 years of management experience across the pension insurance and financial services sectors.
Liron served as CEO of the Quality agent home, part of The Phoenix Group.
Previously, he held a variety of senior leadership roles at Mivtach Simon, a pension arrangement agency within Migdal Group.

Shai Zohar, Senior VP, Chief Underwriter and Manager of International Operations

A widely recognized expert in general insurance.
A former owner of the Mizrach agency, he completed advanced professional training with Munich Re (Germany) and Sun Alliance (UK), specializing in property and engineering lines.
He entered the insurance industry in 1981 and has held a range of senior professional roles, including Head of the Engineering and Liability Department at Hadar, Chief Underwriter at Aminim Insurance Brokers Ltd.,
and Chief Underwriter and partner at Mizrach Insurance Services. He also served as an authorized underwriting representative for Lloyd’s.

Liat Goltz, Deputy CEO Manager of General Insurance Division

Holds a B.A. in Insurance, an MBA,
and a Masters in NLP.
Brings 24 years of experience across the insurance industry, with deep expertise in general insurance—including leading sales organizations, service operations, and agent enablement.
Previous roles include Head of General Insurance Headquarters in The Phoenix Client Division, founder of “Phoenix Personal,” Senior Vice President, and Head of The Phoenix Central Region Cluster.,
She also served as VP of Business Insurance at Leo, a startup company.

Liat Haver, CPA, Deputy CEO Manager of Finance Division

She Holds a B.A. in Accounting and Business Administration and an M.A. in Finance and Business Administration from the College of Management Academic Studies.
She began her career in 2003 at KPMG Somekh Chaikin, later serving for six years as a Controller at a publicly traded company in the capital markets sector, and subsequently as a Controller at a high-tech company.

Mali Sabah, VP Human Resources

Holds a B.A. in Organizational Service Management, with a specialization in Human Resources, and is licensed by Israel’s Capital Market Authority as a Pension Insurance Agent.

She began her professional career in banking and transitioned into the insurance industry in 2005, joining Jerusalem-based El-Ad Agency as a Life Insurance Account Representative. After obtaining her certification as a Pension Insurance Agent, she shifted her focus primarily to the financial services side of the business and continued to grow professionally within the agency..

During her years at El-Ad, she also took on broader responsibilities, including HR leadership and overall office management.
Following the agency’s acquisition by the Oren Mizrach Group, Mali joined the group and stepped into a key leadership role: Building and leading the HR and payroll function, a position she has successfully held for over three years.

Rafi Bar On, Compliance and Enforcement Officer

Holds a B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering and brings 32 years of experience in the insurance industry. He previously served as Head of the Life Insurance Department at Clal Group.
Rafi specializes in settlement arrangement management and is responsible for the regulatory and enforcement aspects at Oren Mizrach, bringing deep expertise and strong hands-on command of compliance requirements.

Uri Geva, VP, Manager of VIP Clients Department and Retirement Planning

A lecturer at the College of Insurance and Finance, and a graduate of the College of Insurance (1984–1985). Licensed in Israel as an insurance agent in both general insurance and pension insurance lines, and a graduate of the 1995 Advanced Management Program for senior insurance agents at the Tel Aviv–Jaffa College. Also completed professional studies in retirement planning at the College of Insurance and Finance. He specializes in retirement planning, pension insurance, settlement arrangement management, and private insurance. Active in the insurance industry since 1984. He was a partner at Geva Insurance Agency until the joint venture with Oren Mizrach in 2013.

Shlomo Miller Senior VP, Manager of General Insurance Professional Staff

Shlomo brings over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry.
He began his career at Leventhal Insurance Agency, and later held a variety of roles at Ayalon and The Phoenix.
In his most recent position at The Phoenix, Shlomo served as Senior Vice President and Deputy Head of the General Insurance Division.

Yoav Nasi VP Digital and Marketing

Yoav brings over 15 years of experience in marketing and digital strategy.
He holds an MBA with a specialization in Marketing from Ben-Gurion University.

He began his career as Head of Digital and Customer Clubs at the Isrotel hotel group, and over the past 15 years has held a range of roles at Migdal—most recently leading the company’s Digital Division.

Ofer Adivi, VP Technology and Information Systems

Ofer Adivi, who holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science, brings over 20 years of experience in management, development, and technological innovation across diverse sectors, including environmental services, insurance, and financial services.

Throughout his career, Adivi has led complex teams and high-impact projects in information systems and software development, with a strong focus on technological excellence, business creativity, and aligning technology with organizational strategy.

In previous roles, he served as VP of Information Systems at an Israeli fintech company and as CTO at one of Israel’s leading projects and integration firms.
Today, Adivi serves as Head of Information Systems at Oren Mizrach Group, leading the group’s digital transformation—from implementing innovative technologies and cloud infrastructure, to enhancing the customer experience, and building a data-driven culture that strengthens operational efficiency.

Yigal Kraus, Adv. Legal Counsel

Yigal brings extensive legal experience and joined Oren Mizrach after several years at Israel’s leading law firms.
In his role, Yigal provides comprehensive legal counsel to the group, including managing complex legal and regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and representing Oren Mizrach in engagements with external parties.

He is committed to delivering high-quality, professional legal guidance—helping safeguard the interests of Oren Mizrach and its partners, while supporting well-informed decision-making across the organization.

Natalie Regev, VP, Large Business & Special Risks Department Manager

Holds an LL.B. and brings approximately 18 years of experience in the insurance industry.
She has held key roles as an insurance consultant at the Boaz Litai office, led the engineering insurance activity at Clal Insurance, and managed projects within the company.
She later headed the Multinational Division at Migdal and led the Commercial Lines operation at Ramot Insurance Agency.

Professional VP

Holds a B.A. in Management from Ben-Gurion University and an MBA from the College of Management. Nadav brings over 18 years of experience in the pension savings sector. In previous roles, he served as Professional Vice President at Hellman-Aldubi Provident and Pension Funds, and as Product Manager in the Marketing Division at Menora Mivtachim Pension & Provident Funds. Nadav is licensed in Israel as a Pension Insurance Agent, and has also served as an adjunct lecturer at the School of Insurance at the Academic College of Netanya.
